Three steps from inbox to intake.
A clean async flow built around how lawyers actually work — not how a marketplace pretends they do.
A question lands.
An Albertan pays $5.99 to ask. The fee goes 100% to Sagesse.org. You see the question, asker's region, and topic.
You decide.
Reply, decline politely, or refer to a colleague. There's no "respond within 1 hour" pressure. Async by design.
Intake, on your terms.
If the question becomes a real matter, the asker books an intake at your rate. AskJAQQ takes nothing — no commission, ever.
One plan.
No commissions. Ever.
A single annual subscription. We never take a cut of your intake fees, and we never sell leads to anyone else.

Quiet, professional, and on your side.
It’s the first platform that lets me say no without feeling rude. Three intake calls last month I would have missed otherwise.
The Sagesse partnership matters. My askers know their fee is doing good — it sets a different tone for the whole conversation.
No commissions, no pressure, no auto-dialler. It feels like email — but qualified, paid, and focused on Alberta.
My intake assistant loves it. Clean briefs, clear questions, no time-wasters. Worth the $150 the day we plugged it in.
100% of every $5.99 ask supports Sagesse.
Sagesse is a Calgary-based charity working to prevent domestic violence in Canada. Every question asked on AskJAQQ becomes a small contribution — and a public reminder that legal access and safety are connected.
Is AskJAQQ a referral service? +
No. AskJAQQ is a directory and async-question platform. Askers find and message lawyers directly. We never claim a commission, and we never auto-route askers to "the next available" lawyer.
Do my answers create a lawyer-client relationship? +
Every thread carries a clear "general information only" notice, and askers must acknowledge it before sending. You can convert to a formal retainer at intake — that’s the moment the relationship begins.
How is the $5.99 fee handled? +
100% of every ask fee is paid annually to Sagesse.org. AskJAQQ covers payment processing out of subscription revenue.
Is there a free trial? +
Yes — 30 days. A credit card is required at signup, but you won’t be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before that.
Reply between matters, not after them.
